Hi all.

I'll be graduating RN school soon and have secured a job at Hillcrest (the main campus, not South). I'm single, 20, and will be moving to Tulsa in May. I would like to find a 1bedroom/1bath apartment in Midtown so I can primarily be close to my job, but also because it's where I would like to live being a [very] young professional.

I really liked Harvard Terrace, but they do not have 1bedroom/1bath floorplans. I do not want / will not have a roommate, so really a 1-bedroom is all I need. I don't want to spend more than $750/mo on rent. If I want a "nice"* apartment, will I need to look outside of midtown?

*'nice' obviously being very subjective, I just don't want to live an apartment complex where I fear I'm going to get jumped every time I walk to my car. I'm from Muskogee so if you're familiar with NE Oklahoma perhaps you can see where I am coming from. (I'm only half-kidding)

What really attracted me to Harvard Terrace was that it doesn't share common walls, and many units have hardwood flooring. I realize I probably won't find another complex that doesn't share common walls, but it would be nice to find one with hardwood floors and preferably washer/dryer in unit.

Let me know if my expectations are unrealistic. I don't know a whole lot about Tulsa besides my frequent visits.

Interesting to know there are complexes where apartments don't share common walls. Many years ago, I briefly lived in one where the bathroom had a common wall with another apartment. Acoustics were poor. If I ever need to live in an apartment again, I'll know what to check for. Good luck with your search. I know very little about Tulsa as I rarely make the drive.

I lived there as a one-year-old baby in 1949. I don't remember anything about the place.
