I have been "fostering" one for several months (abandoned) by neighbor. Was recently told they can be very intuitive - even helping with certain things like autism in children. Just wanted to know more if you know more.
Still seeking another home for him, as he seems to need more attention than I can provide and I feel bad. Knowing more might help me in finding him a place. Terribly loving guy.
Was looking for a "Pets" section within CD, but didn't see it.

There is a "pets" section here on C-D. And then sub-forums......... look for "cats".

Tuxedo cats are amazing!!!!

I had one many years ago - the sweetest guy imaginable and I adored him.

Recently, my brother passed and we had to find homes for his 3 cats - I tried talking with him about it so we had time to find the best possible homes, etc. but he couldn't handle the thought of it so I respected his wishes. I had internet searched and emailed every cat sanctuary and no-kill shelter I could think of and some of them were very sympathetic and most importantly helpful with ideas. I still have a list somewhere if you would like it - DM me and let me know.

Amazingly, we were able to find them all homes and one is a senior citizen (22 years!). This was in rural Virginia near Tennessee border.

We have three of them. Tuxedo cats have fantastic personalities, although I've never heard anything related to autism. Whatever you do, please don't put your kitty in a shelter. Cats in shelters die at much higher rates than dogs.

Default Thanks guys...

for your comments and any info.
I said autism, but it could've been another (children's) affliction. Need to get back with the women who mentioned it to me.

If you hear of anything/anyone who might be able to help I've got my "feelers" out. Thanks!

I have a tux. I would take him in a heartbeat but I live about 500 miles from Tulsa. He knows when I need to get up and he pounces on me. He is nearly 12 pounds and can stand up with paws on the floor and reach the top of my dining table. He is not one year old yet. but he is my engineer. He wants to know what it is and how it works!

If you are serious about the cat, do send a private message.
