When I was there last week I didn't see a major chain supermarket like a Loew's or a Publix, Safeway, Food Lion, etc., and I drove all over the place. I did however notice that Tulsa has a good deal of Alberton's. I don't mind Albertson's from time to time, but I do find them to be a tad more expensive.

Did I miss something?

When I was there for an extended period in August my friends and I did all our grocery shopping at Wal-Mart actually.
*shrugs* as you said there's also Albertson's and a couple of natural organic grocery stores through the name escapes me at the moment I think it's "Wild Oat's" or something to that extent. But their kinda pricey as far as I know.

So.....my guess is Wal-Mart LOL

Reasors is a good place, there is Homeland and the Walmart Neighborhood grocery stores and of course Sam's. There are many places here to shop for groceries.
Hope that helps.

Just give in and go to wal-mart. But buy your produce elsewhere. It'll be cheaper and of better quality.

Albertson's, Homeland, United are all nice and small but exhorbitantly expensive.

Grab your grocery ads that come in the mail and take them to Wal-Mart to price match. (Sometimes Wal-MArt will then lower their prices on that item so next time you go to buy the item it is lower.)

Albertson's has good meat and you can stock up when they have sales.

Aldi has private labels but notice how many BMW's, Mercedes, Lexus, Acuras, Land Rovers you see there. It is a store you can get in and out of pretty quickly once you know what you are looking for. (I like the bag of bonelss chicken breasts because they are individually frozen and not all stuck together .)

Wal-Mart, Wal-Mart, and did I mention Wal-Mart?!?! It's the greatest store on earth!!! I'm native to Tulsa but my husband and I now live in CA and I am DYING because there are no supercenters! People here think they are above saving money.

Although Walmart IS cheap, I can't stand the store layout and how insanely busy it is there especially in the grocery section.
When I lived in Tulsa, we did our shopping at Reasors most of the time. Albertsons is good as well.

All of you people who think that Wal-Marts in Oklahoma are too busy ought to try the Wal-Mart in Gallup, New Mexico some time. We call it the Chicken Coop or the Gathering of Nations.
