We will be relocating to Tulsa soon. My Husband and I visited Tulsa last weekend to see the beautiful city (I was most impressed with the Riverwalk - we ate at Los Cabos). Our biggest concern is the school district to move to. Looking at Broken Arrow, Jenks, Bixby and Union. Please offer any advice or suggestions ... THANKS!!!!

Of the four, Union and Jenks have the best reputations, followed by Broken Arrow. I don't know much about Bixby schools, hopefully someone will come along who does.

Broken Arrow and Union would offer the best access to shopping (the 71st Street area) and the rest of Tulsa. Jenks is more suburban, and has the Oklahoma Aquarium. Bixby is the farthest from Tulsa proper (although not THAT far) and has a nice Farmer's Market.

Quite honestly all four districts are excellent. I have noticed that there is a difference in value between similar houses located in Jenks vs Glenpool as well as between Jenks and Bixby, but not a significant difference between Jenks and Union or Broken Arrow.

I would focus on what your children enjoy. If your sons aspire to be football players, I would not select any of them (excepting Bixby, I think). All three of the others tend to recruit like they are colleges. If they are into music, Jenks, Union, and Broken Arrow ALL have nationally recognized bands.

I would find the best value for a house and, regardless of which of the four districts it was in, locate there.

BTW, BA and Bixby have the best FFA programs........
