I like the skinny washed up actress on the show, I just look at the faces she makes and break up laughing! I see she is doing commercials now also.
She is Wendy Mallick. She always plays the snooty star but in real life she and her husband live on an animal rescue ranch and are devoted to rescuing all sorts of animals. She is the opposite of her characters. I really like her.
I don't get cable any longe so I am hoping I can watch the shows online.
I just started watching this (in reruns on TVLand) and I LOVE IT!!!! I have to admit I originally avoided it intentionally because I was jealous of Valerie Bertinelli (from waaaaaaaay back when she was in One Day at a Time) because she is such a doll that she made me feel ugly. I was happy when she married Eddie VanHalen, though, loved her married name (Valerie VanHalen), and was saddened when they split up, they were together for so long and just fit back when, IMO. Anyway, I got over my pettiness (I still think she is a doll, but she doesn't make me feel bad any longer and I DO like her) and began watching this show as I like the other actresses, and the guest stars (B status) that make an appearance. Right now, "Newman" from Seinfeld, Wayne Knight, is on, and he looks great, doesn't look like he has aged at all. Of course, the older I get, the more my contemporaries look young, LOL.
I really like Betty White, but think she's going for too much low brow humor. I'm all for a good naughty joke, but she's playing the old naughty lady card a bit too much for my tastes.

I like her insult humor (ala Don Rickles) a bit better, but she's probably not the one writing the jokes.
