I think it has some very clever gimmicks mixed in. The show has a limited audience of less than 2 million viewers. It clearly has a small budget. But it is more effective than many broadcast shows with much larger audience and budget. It compare very well to Fringe for instance.

What do you all think of the direction the show is going in now? It seems that whoever Audrey originally was deliberately gave the troubles to the people of Haven along with Sheriff Carter . . .err, I mean William, apparently for fun.

Duke is decidedly the more interesting of the two characters. Even Nathan's "trouble" is dull. It provides no moral dilemmas at all.

While it happens in movies, it is a change of pace to see the female lead in a TV series torn between attraction to more than one man (at the same time).

I just watched the first three seasons on Netflix, so I will have to look for Season 4 on SyFy/VOD.
VOD starts with episode #8

I'd been recording and watching this show from the beginning and started to lose interest last season. I've tried watching it this season and just can't seem to get into it anymore. Maybe it's just me but I simply can't tie it all together. My spouse watches it and enjoys it however. I much prefer Homeland.
