I didn't read the book, but how can the series be bad with Ian McShane and Donald Sutherland. The eight-hour series will premier July 23rd and 10 p.m. on Starz.

This is my favorite book of all time also. I was in the movie theater yesterday...saw Inception...weird.........and the previews showed Pillars. I thought it was a movie coming out. Now I am disappointed because I don't have Starz either. Pray for it to be available soon.

And Rufus Sewell. I added Starz to my channel line-up just so I can watch this

It is also going to run on Encore, and I think it will be available via Starz on demand through Netflix.

I've had the book on my shelf for over a year (hangs head in shame) but I highly doubt I'll get it read by the weekend. Oh well, I shall have to make a start and just read it in parallel with the series.

Have you read the (so called) sequel, WORLD WITHOUT END? It's fantastic also.
