Been using a Roku 2 box to stream Netflix to my TV for 13 months and the quality has always been excellent.

My TV has WiFi and NetFlix, Hulu, Amazon Video and other streaming capability built into them. Picture quality is excellent and I have no problem with stops or freezes.

I can now answer my own thread from three years ago. The quality is quite good with very few skips or freezes. Occasionally I unplug my bluray player to reboot and that solves most buffering problems.

I had a roku I tested for a week and our connection lagged too much on it to sanely watch netflix through it. Wasn't really worth the $100 when, for free, i could just get off my butt and plug the HDMI cable into my laptop. Never any issues when I watch it that way. And the quality on the TV is always better than it is on my computer.

I stream through my computer or through the X-box360, and it works well and looks great.
