Nope. I think it's the only show set in Vegas that I ever really liked. (I never liked the original CSI, I just had a period where I found it somewhat interesting) It didn't take itself too seriously, but it wasn't total campy goofiness either. And the characters seemed to be having fun much of the time, and like people who could be interesting to hang with, which I like to see.
Oddly I guess it was based on a show from the early 1960s that was intently serious and about hard-hitting "edgy" issues of the day. (Looking it up it says they had one about an atheist schoolteacher and another about euthanasia even though it ran from 1961 to 1965.) So maybe some critics were put out with this being nowhere near as serious.
