Who was your favorite Golden Girl and why? Mine was Rose becuase of her off the wall airhead remarks and St. Olaf stories. Only a person with a vivid imagination would think of those.

Sophia is the funniest but Dorothy had the sly wit. And who can forget when she sang 'What'll I Do" by Irving Berlin and held Blanche's favorite bar spellbound?

I'm going with Sophia but they are all funny in their own way. What a great show! Definitely in my top 3 shows of all time.

Toss up between Rose and Sophia. Sometimes those two really stole the show. Will miss them.

I picked Rose because of her doofy St. Olaf stories and I just love Betty White. She did an amazing job playing that sweet little airhead.

But I love them all. I miss that show.

Betty White. And I have utmost admiration for her. Now SHE is the way I'd like to get old. And she even looks great.

I had an unexpected surprise lately. I was always indifferent to Bea Arthur ~ never found her particularly charming or even funny. But lately I've been watching some old "Maude" series, and it's as if I've discovered her for the first time. She really WAS funny.

Speaking of Betty, did y'all see this on Sunday? She does "Hello Dolly!"

Gotta go with Sophia. I found the show to be at it's funniest when she was taking shots at the other three. Especially when she would make jokes at Blanche's expense.

Thanks for posting this. I missed the show and that's a very funny tribute to Morgan. All of the Golden Girls were entertaining with each one going to extreme for their character and that's what makes them funny. Betty White is the only one still alive and I wish I knew how she takes care of herself. Wow! I pick Sophia, Estelle Getty, for a favorite. She was already suffering from her illness (Lewy Body Dementia) before the show ended. She died 2008 just shy of 85. Bea Arthur died 2009 at 86 and Rue McClanahan died last year.
