So glad for Caplan - she has arrived as a serious actor. I did not know Sheen was British - pretty good Yank accent what. He was a great guest on Craig Ferguson this month. Loved that Janney's character was against electroshock. I am also amused that both she and Bridges have such excellent characters here but such parody characters in their other sitcom roles - also new this season. Sorry I can't remember the names of those shows...

New season started tonight. The summation of the previous season was perfect and hit every major character and their dilemmas. The acting is so good it kills me. The direction keeps the performances muted and subtle, with a lot of face time.

It's a shame Sheen didn't get an Emmy nod, but it was a really strong category. Hopefully he'll get in next year what with Breaking Bad finished and McConaughey and Harrelson being a one-off thing. I'm really happy for Lizzy Caplan, and also Allison Janney and Beau Bridges, all really deserved.

I cancelled my HBO, Showtime, Starz, etc., movie package with Directv and replaced it with the Sports package of NFL, MLB, Altitude, for my Colorado teams. I wish Showtime would have OnDemand...

Netflix already has Season 1 (DVD only, not streaming) to rent. Presume they will eventually get all seasons. You will have to wait

That's precisely what I like most! I'll never get women who want to romanticize a time when they couldn't buy a car a home or even get ahead in the office because of chauvinism. They show the awful truthfor everybody in society.

I don't think I've seen a bigger character transformation than Libby's character … wow … from sweet, innocent housewife to total racist jerk!

Well, maybe not so innocent...after all, she did go behind her husband's back to get pregnant
