I love this show and so far am loving this season better than first. More dramatic tension and more "sexual" less rigid if that makes sense. Lol.

This is the best show on television right now and it deserves a lot of awards.

Even the wardrobe designer(s) deserve awards. I actually wanted one of Libby's cardigan sweaters that she was wearing on the show this week.

I think this is part of the "setting" in an early 1960s segregated community. And her being a housewife, relying on ladies magazines for her "information."

I love the "approach-avoidance" thing that she is doing in trying to make sense of the "Negro community." When they were discussing her "brother" getting arrested for "assaulting a police officer," Lilly's ignorance seemed almost as timely today as 50 years ago.

I also am a big fan of the wardrobe and sets. Great tones and shapes.

Spoiler alert! So many changes tonight. Surprised that the writers advanced the timeline by 2 years! Worked in another baby, another office, and mom and the cinematographer back again. As usual, careful attention was paid to costumes and hairstyles to match the years.

Annaleigh Ashford is sure spreading her acting wings as Betty, the character who has gone through the most radical life changes. Too bad she didn't get an Emmy nod.

I first found the changes a bit jarring but it shows that the writers/producers have faith in the intelligence of their audience. Not all shows would take that risk.
I think the character of Betty used the word "recession" once in talking about the economy. I didn't think that word was used in that context back then.

I found it painfully slow and repetitive last night. The show had a better balance last season. Too much of Dr Masters being a douchebag this season.

Really?? I thought the last one was one of the best episodes.

I agree that Betty's Character was excellent last night!

And i likes the few years in one thing. Showed a lot into Virginia's relationship style and coping mechanisms.

Anyone else here watching the Leftovers? Master's mom and the Cult leader are the same actress. She is (was) SPOT ON in The Leftovers!
