I just watched the show with Charity. I feel so sorry for these women who get stuck with these "fiances." Most of these guys are just losers who are living off of the women.
I was just thinking how there is something deeply wrong with all of these men- boyfriends, husbands, and fiances. They are usually normal weight or skinny, yet they attach themselves to huge women. They obviously need some counseling as well.

I was also wondering why that young guy was her fiance.....caregiver maybe.

A morbidly obese woman in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is facing the biggest battle of her life -- losing 200 pounds in a hurry.
Charity Pierce, 38, is trying to lose enough weight to qualify for gastric bypass surgery. She believes surgery is the only way she'll be healthy enough to marry her 21-year-old boyfriend, Tony Sauer.
"I’m determined not to have to get married at home –- I want to be able to walk up the aisle," she told Barcroft TV. "We both love country music so I plan to wear a wedding dress, cowboy boots and cowgirl hat and Tony will be in jeans and cowboy boots."
Sauer isn't just Pierce's lover and confidant. His brother, Jimmy, had a previous relationship with Pierce that produced her 18-year-old daughter, Charly.
Sauer first met Pierce when he was 8 and she was 25. They reconnected at a party three years ago.
"After Charly was born I didn’t often see Jimmy, so we weren’t ever a couple," she said. “When I met Tony, he seemed very mature for his age and we just got on.”
In the early days of their courtship, Pierce recalled that she and her boyfriend were having sex "up to four times a day," according to Barcroft TV.
She has since developed lymphedema, a condition that has caused extreme swelling in her left leg and hip, and that has cut into her sex life.
"The lymphedema feels like another whole person. It feels like cinder blocks hanging off you all the time," Pierce told KCRG-TV.
Sauer says Pierce's size isn't an issue, but he worries she could die.
Although she has reduced her daily caloric intake from 10,000 to 1,200, Pierce has only lost 22 pounds in the last few months. She believes gastric bypass surgery could help, but local doctors won't operate until she loses at least 200 pounds.
There is a doctor in Houston who is willing to operate on patients who weigh more than 600 pounds, she said. To get there, she needs to raise $5,000 to pay for an ambulance -- the only vehicle that can transport her.
Pierce has set up a GoFundMe page and has raised $2,338 so far.
If the Houston doctor believes she's a good candidate for surgery, her experience could be filmed for the TLC series, "My 600-lb. Life."
When doctors brought a set of heavy-duty scales to Pierce’s home, she topped the scales at 765 pounds, more than 122 pounds heavier than Pauline Potter, who is recognized by Guinness World Records as the world's heaviest living woman.
“Seeing that figure appear on the scales was such a shock. I didn’t expect that. It was devastating," she said, according to the Mirror.

Are you serious? You feel "so sorry" for the women? Why? Because they're lucky enough to have someone wait on them hand and foot, bathe them, hand them their "sweet bins," and do things most people don't even want to think of having to do for someone? Even Charity, herself, realized the burden her weight put on those around her, and expressed gratitude.
If you want to feel "so sorry" for these women, feel sorry because they have to endure the stares from adults who should know better when they're out in public, and not because someone is at least trying to help, and hasn't abandoned them.
^^The stares from the public are irrelevant. The public will stare if someone is a little person, if they walk differently, or even if someone has purple hair. Stares mean nothing.
What disturbs me is that these women are stuck in what are essentially dysfunctional relationships and are calling it love. Caretakers can be hired.
Are these men employed? Do they have hobbies or a life? What makes them a "catch" except their obvious codependency needs?
It is so sad that she really is in emotional pain and that her dad was a big part of it and then she lost her mom. She needs some serious, intense therapy and some Jesus. Otherwise food will just continue to be her "god."
It is just amazing that some, very few, do meet Dr. Now's expectations of losing about 10 lbs. per week, while others, 2 months after surgery, only have lost 11 lbs.! Wow! What a disappointment for him!

True. One lady gained weight before the surgery.
There are so many issues beyond the weight. The minute I see the "last big meal" celebration before surgery, I know there's going to be trouble. Many expect the weight to melt off without effort on their part. Then there are the enablers, many of whom have their own food-addiction problems.
It's great when it works out for them. Dr N. provides follow-up care, dieticians, therapy, etc., but the patients aren't always cooperative.

Yeah I swear on the last few episodes, the family member of the featured person looks like they might be on the show the following week!! Last night, she was 778 lbs. but her daughter looked at least 300, but it's like oh she's ok, she's not 700 --- yet.

I saw that, too. When they showed a side shot of her daughter, it was very noticeable. And I'm sure Dr. N. notices, too, because he's frank about the challenges that's going to present when it comes to the patient sticking to the program.
