Queen of the South premieres tonight (Thursday) on USA.
It is about a female drug lord.

I am usually all in on USA Stuff but I am on the fence with this one.

It had a very modern day "Scarface" to it in the previews. I'll give it a try and we'll see how it goes.

Looks interesting. Acting was decent, story seems different than the usual drug story. It was weird how they showed her death as the first scene, so now we get to see everything leading up to it.

It was a pilot, so they had to cram a lot in. If the second episode can keep this up, I'm in.

Very interesting 1st episode. Haven't seen Alice Braga in anything since Predators. Definitely has a Scarface feel to it. I'll watch to see her rise to power. We've already witnessed her fall
