I really hate this show. I feel so uncomfortable watching it. For several reasons:
-Everyone is obviously showing their butts for the show, even the Lindsay "I'm A Snowboarder Bad A**" girl.
-The stereotypical gay man with his *** hag relationship. All the sexual innuendo from the gay guy and his hag....I am so, so tired of this trope. Almost as tired as I am of...
-....The Angry Black Woman trope. Of course, she is the boss, to make sure we get the point about Angry Black Women.
-The Overconfident, Overprivileged, and Sexist Bro: his job is to show who is really running **** while also being as visually status quo as possible and keeping it cool. (Cue the passive aggression)
-Snarky, Overprivileged Mean Girl: basically a basic ***** with money and one-liners, but this time with Cara Delevingne eyebrows!
-Clueless Overeducated Loner: this time female and black!
-The "We Run This Town" clique
-Why is the lead always not in town?
-The assumption that being gay and being racist are mutually exclusive.
The show is worse than 100 Days of Summer. None of the people are likeable, except maybe the absent team lead, but I think that's just because she's not around.
Also, there is definitely a "you don't belong here" attitude directed at those two black women. We get it: the winter Olympics is your territory, damn, chill!
I'm curious to know if anyone actually likes this show. Looks like it's on a great path to cancellation.
I also despise the attitude that some gay men have that they "understand" what it's like to have a period or just menstruation jokes in general, as if they have ever ridden the crimson wave. No boo, please...stay in your lane.
I've watched the show and if they'd just focus on their clients I think it would be a pretty good show. I like to see what they come up though it seems everyone what's something they've never done before.
I think they cast the "boss" just for drama. She has zero experience with anything relating to Whistler.
