It did say Season finale, not Series finale before the teaser. Who knows why they cut the season. The ratings are not that far off from The Catch, and it was renewed. With DVR, it averages around 6 million viewers. HTGAWM only gets 7.5 at best. Scandal barely pulled 6 for most of last season.
I have hope it will be renewed.
The announcement at the end of the show said the season finale will air on December 8th, which tells me that it's done; according to the folks at Deadline | Hollywood Entertainment Breaking News, they've never seen any series which had its order reduced NOT wind up getting cancelled.
