Did anyone watch this? OMG both those men and the mail order bride were varying levels of crazy. Whatever her issues may be I was certainly glad she got away from husband number one. He's like a psychopath. Wanted to make her engage in non-consensual sex-acts on film. But she chose to go back to him once. citizenship was apparently worth it.

It was dreadful to me to realize where she is from is so bad that was necessary. Telling her to LICK the basement clean? The basement for the non-consensual sex. ugh. I hope she did not actually lick it clean. Treating her worse than a dog. Maybe he only made her do that a little as part of his NON-CONSENSUAL master/slave BDSM bull****. ugh.

He's the type who would probably kidnap a girl and keep her down there ......

Is this about the 2005 Mockumentary where the doorman who passed himself off as in real estate and security imports a wife from sight unseen from Burma? And then the "documentary film maker falls for the girl and loses his wife in the process of her collecting pig statuettes. The US spousal visa program really doesn't work that way.

There was a similar themed British movie with a wife from eastern Europe, starring Nicole Kidman, Birthday Girl where organized crime is envolved

Yes. I had never heard anything about it before. (or since).

Do you mean that she couldn't so easily gain citizenship? That was addressed. The guy that was in charge of the website said yeah, if the marriage doesn't work out, she will have to go home. But it didn't go into any detail about how long one must be married and all the other steps to citizenship.

I mean she couldn't even get an interview to get an entry visa, much less starting on permanent residence or citizenship unless he had went to Burma before hand and proved that they personally knew each other.
