‘Naked Attraction,’ British full-frontal dating show, shocks American viewers: ‘I’m titillated by the nudity’

Some Brits enjoyed seeing Americans’ passionate reactions to a show that has been making headlines for years — more than 1,000 complaints about the show’s explicit nudity have been filed to the U.K. communications regulator, Ofcom, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“A lot of my American friends have just been introduced to Naked Attraction and the reactions are hilarious,” one person tweeted. “Like this is something we’ve watched for years over here in U.K. peeps. Nothing can shock us.”
Several friends, younger as well as older, were talking about it at large black tie fund raiser we attended. As they were talking, more and more people chimed in and said that they couldn't stop watching the show it was that good!

We've watched a few episodes, and probably watch more if nothing else is available

The show is humorous, shocking, full of informational tidbits and lots of nudity. It is resonating across all age groups (both pro and con, but eating up in the ratings (both in the UK and US)

It's been on commercial TV in the UK for 6 seasons. The Max version cuts out the commercials. So, I imagine there are many companies willing to pay big bucks in England for the show to air.

It's kinda sad that the US is so uptight

It seems to have caused quite a stir in the US.

In terms of the UK it's just some late night show that initially had a shock value back when it was launched in 2016, however it's lost a lot of it's shock value, and seems to just involve rather weird looking over weight individuals who are often covered in piercings and tattoos, and in various states of nudity. Then again you have to be a bit weird to want to strip off on national television in the first place.

As for being commercial, the studio that produces it is commercial, however Channel 4 that commissioned and aired the show is state owned, although it does generate a lot of it's own financing.

Personally I think this show just demonstrates the need for Channel 4 to privatised, as for the shock value, you can google far more attractive naked people, if looking at naked people is your thing.

Whilst given the increasingly vast array of television and internet options now available, there are usually numerous better things to watch in terms of entertainment value than a lot of the dross put out by channels such as Channel 4, and this show no longer even has much in the way if shock value any more in terms of the UK, where it has been running for over 7 years.

You have to pay to see it so I suggest not paying for it.

Having sat in figure drawing classes in the past, nudity doesn't really faze me. I watched this show and after the initial weirdness of seeing so many nude bodies on TV, it almost became clinical. It's more interesting to see what clothing they are in at the end!

I felt bad for the one guy who was looking forward to seeing his date and asking her what happened. He was so sure they'd had a connection. She was very discourteous, I thought.

After reading this post, my wife and I gave it a shot last night. We lasted maybe 5 minutes. The show itself is stupid, it seems like it's just the idea of seeing all the nude people that keep it going. I don't understand that myself. For me it's "too much of a good thing."

You know there is an invention called parental control. You can clutch your pearls with one hand and apply that with the other.
