While I agree that guacamole should never have yogurt, sour cream, or mayo in it, avocado and grapefruit is actually a classic salad combination. The bittersweet acidity against the buttery avocado.. mmmm.
My objection was not with the food itself, but that it seemed like a random choice for the guy they were making over, and not something that he would choose for himself. He was a NASCAR fan who liked having people over, why not show him how to make better party food?
I love ***** Eye too---can't believe the new version is as good or better than the original. Just finished Season One. Very heart-warming. But----I must admit that I feel a little uneasy when the gay guys flirt with the straight guys. Just as their being gay should be respected, so should the straight orientation. And in the era of MeToo, it just seems a little off to be saying sexual things and doing physical contact. It's exactly what women are now complaining about. Is it different just because it's male on male?
I just watched the one where they did over the community room for a lady’s church. It was quite a sophisticated plot, I thought. It blended the Q Guy’s personal baggage with judgmental church people, the lady’s gay son coming back to the country he fled from because he didn’t feel accepted, as well as the usual personal makeovers.
I thought, in the end, the Q Guys would have participated in the churches homecoming celebration, but they got the heck out of there.

No - they never participate in the ending event. They are usually back in the loft watching it on the TV.
Loved ep.1 of season 2 and can't wait to watch more.
We finished season two last night. I thought it was a little weaker than season one. Some of the guys seemed a little detached, like they didn't quite connect with the person featured in some of the episodes. Still quite an enjoyable show, and a valuable show, but not up to the standard of season one.
They said that Season 2 was actually still season 1. They filmed all those episodes together and I guess they picked the "strongest" ones for the first airing (in case it wasn't successful) and then aired those other 8 due to the great reviews.
They said Season 3 (actually season 2) will be better because they've learned what works and what doesn't.
I can't wait!!
Yes, we watched the first 2 episodes. I like that they are doing women. My kids love the new dog. So far so good.
