I am starting to get a wee bit bored. I find my mind wandering now. The acting is starting to annoy me.

I just had a chance to watch the first 3 episodes. I never saw Lost, so can't compare the 2. And thanks to the poster who identified the main male character as the actor who played Prince Charming on OUAT---that was bugging me! It's a rather unlikely storyline, but will keep watching for the time being......

So anyone else having the same issue as my wife and I (I'm a dude using her account): The actors are so darn boring and have zero charisma, but I wanna know what happened so I'm gonna watch the show despite not liking it. lol Manifest may have made tv history; create a show that is so slow and boring with good looking but totally uninteresting characters, which would normally lead to impending cancellation, but create an interesting storyline that people can't tune out until they know what happened. People are watching Manifest despite itself.

I believe sometimes slow story lines turn into....wow in just a few episodes.

Hopefully this will be the case.

It's the number one new show so far. I don't find it boring. I think it's building to something big and I'm happy to just observe and wonder.

You're welcome about Charming.

Good way to put it, I am watching it "despite itself". I want to know what is going on.

I noticed the kid's oncologist found they all had a NDE. They all, at least 20 of them, are kinda angels? Projecting GOOD. FBI guy, BAD?????

Popular doesn't equal good, McDonalds is the most popular restaurant in the world. The show is so slow and boring, the actors have zero charisma, but despite all of that, I'm still gonna watch it to find out what happened. As I said, I'm going to continue to watch manifest despite itself. lol

I like it too. Holds my interest just fine. So many shows I like get canceled so quickly. I'll just be glad if we at least get to see the whole first season. I think I'm more focused on the 828 passenger storylines rather than character development or character connections.

I didn't post that to suggest it must be good if it's popular. Many of us have programs we like suddenly cancelled early, so I was just saying this one might last at least one full season.

I found last night's episode to be the weakest of the season, so far. Story line meandered all over, and there were several "personal interactions" that only made sense from a drama point of view. IOW, real people wouldn't act like that, but it increases the level of (fake TV) drama.

For example, the ATF/NYPD scene was a joke. No way that happens like that.

Still watching, one episode doesn't make it bad, but it kinda surprised me how poor last night was.
