We currently have Dish as our provider at $113/month. We purchased Apple TV for $40/month. We still have local channels as well as most sports networks and all news networks. We live in the pacific northwest and want to get Pac-12 Networks. Other then that we are good to go. We haven't dumped Dish yet but we are pretty committed to it.

Anyone else made the switch?

I dumped Directv, have IPTV now. I get local via an OTA antenna, and with my smart tv have a gazillion channels to watch. DTV kept raising and raising their prices, paying over $100 a month for the four channels I watch was too much.

Same here. Our Direct TV bill was anywhere from $140-170 depending on the package. Xtra fees for each box, HD signal, DVR, etc. I was ready to cord-cut years ago but could never find the right deal until YouTubeTV came along. They have a pretty good selection of channels and offer multiple streams and DVR's. It's not perfect but when combined with Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO and other apps plus an OTA antennae, Apple TV box, Prime stick, smart TV w/ apps it's more than enough content to keep anyone busy. All for under $100/mo. Only downside now is if you lose internet but then just switch to the OTA if you gotta have that TV fix.

Accepted lingo. Cost is what matters to me, and it's much cheaper now.
