Check El Candidato. I have been hyping this show for a bit now, but seems like no one has bit.

Its about CIA in Mexico trying to apprehend Cartel leader while Cartel leading plants sleeper agent in Mexican Govt, and tries to get him elected El Presidente.

and I would say Expanse; however, the first three seasons were not Amazon, but SCFY. I will give them credit for picking it up and do a great job with the additional seasons. (And I will know SCFY for dropping it.)
