My fiance & I have watched a couple of episodes...BUT we can't decide if it's good or creepy, ha. I like that it takes place in SoCal tho.

I saw the movie, which was Australian. I thought it was chilling. Then they made the show and I thought it was going to drag the point out too far and just become annoying so I didn't watch it.

Thank you....I never heard of the movie. I did a search about what shows are like Ozark or crime & Animal Kingdom showed up. It has a lot of good reviews & that made us decide to give it a try....like "the best show you're not watching". We haven't gotten very far tho...there are 4 or 5 seasons....so we're late & uncool.

It might be the greatest show ever, but I'll never know. I hope you enjoy it.

It reminded me a lot of Son's of Anarchy...in that vein...I enjoyed both!

I loved everything about that show other than Ellen Barkin. Didn't like her ever a little bit. Everything she did looked stiff and forced. If that was how they wanted character played, I guess she nailed it.

I just finished season 3. After the first season I wasn't sure I'd watch the rest mostly because it was difficult to identify with any of the characters. Hard to watch a show where there is no good guy. But I got bored and went ahead and started season 2 and mostly enjoyed it. I hated Denis Leary. It really ticked me off that he was able to worm his way back in and stole from his own son. His son was the only one who had plans to go straight, even though he was still doing jobs with his family. Otherwise I probably would have been rooting for him to do as much chitty stuff as possible to the family.
