The Woody Boyd character from Cheers (and he was also in the 90s Frasier once) played by the legendary Woody Harrelson.
Can you imagine a more perfect pairing than Frasier and Woody? There would be nothing better on TV than those guys living together.
One guy playing smart (or book smart), while the other plays dumb constantly? Plus they both are capable of being sentimental.
Could easily have been the premise of the Frasier revival IF Woody wanted to do it.

and this has to do with what?

But, "Woody and Frasier", that would be a definite NO for me.
I saw one episode where Woody was on Frasier, and I actually found that episode painful to watch. I hate dumbness, I don't find it funny or entertaining at all.

I never saw an episode of Cheers, ever, that show just did not appeal to me. But obviously I had heard of the characters. When Woody had come on the Frasier episode, ugh, I did not like it at all.

Lol. I've always actually perceived Woody more as being naive and sweet. (I've gone over and over the grammatical correctness of the sentence I'm trying to convey, and I give up and am just going with this one.)

It's an interesting idea, and it could work but Woody Harrelson now has such a catalog of work would he even do it? Maybe a one-off appearance like with Frasier.

Yep one-off is possible for several of the Cheers cast. But nothing more than a cameo, because the Frasier revival really committed to the newbies sadly.

Agree, he's versatile and has comedic depth, not just a spoof.

Very much agree. Woody as a regular...deal breaker for me.

Forget the cast of CHEERS. I want to see Frasier brought in to a Federal prison to be the personal pyschotherapist of the A-TEAM.

Yes, Frasier is such a versatile character, he's ideal therapist for every show.
You could even put him in a straight drama without any comedy, and he'd still be entertaining.
Though I must say, his voice has changed a lot since the 90s, so can't speak with "girlish glee" anymore now that his voice is rougher.
But I guess his current voice would work better in dramas.
