Small Wonder is the cheesiest, most predictable piece of garbage I remember. You knew what they were going to say before they even said it.
MASH was boring.
Family Matters (barely an 80s show, really) was also VERY predictable. Here comes the music twenty minutes in to let us know the lesson is coming!
Full House was too nicey-nice in a way that could never be real.
Bewitched
Mama's Family annoyed the crap out of me.
Sanford & Son
Partridge Family
Just the Ten of Us

Shows with cheesy music, horrible plots, and cheesy writing were the worst. Namely, 'Small Wonder', 'Learning the Ropes', 'Full House', and 'Out of This World'.

Full House takes the cake as the worst. Anything with Bob Saget is unwatchable.

Sorry-count me in, too...I never understood the hoopla over Seinfeld. Aside from the Soup Nazi episode I never liked the show.

For worst shows, I'd nominate 'Benson' (boring and not funny at all), 'Happy Days' (never understood the appeal of it-guess you had to grow up in the 50's to love it), and ' Charles In Charge' (ehh..lame). I'm sure I'll be back with more later.

I think they mean Raven Simone who played Lisa Bonet's stepdaughter later in the show.

I really like a lot of the "worst" shows that have been named so far.

But I think Small Wonder is universally detested. No votes for Punky Brewster yet? (even more treacly and badly acted than Full House--which was pretty terrible too, but at least hot Uncle Jesse made it semi-watchable, imo!)

Personally I hated Taxi, Barney Miller, Mash, All In The Family, One Day At A Time, Soap, Benson, WKRP, Wings, and many others...but I know they all have their fans and maybe I was just too young to appreciate them. Webster, The Charmings, and We Got It Made stand out in my memory as being pretty sucky too.

Ah yes the 80s. The decade of my youth. Also the decade where if your show was WAY too cheesy for the networks you could still get it on the air through syndication.

But you all forgot the all time worst sitcom of the 80s:

Sledge Hammer

a sitcom about a cop and his gun. How that gem lasted 2 years I'll never know
