I can't help but laugh, but me and hubby are always joking.... "Why don't they just turn on the lights!?!"

The original CSI is by far the best, but it's gone downhill ever since they started introducing all of the character drama that's almost ruined the show for me. That's not what the show is supposed to be about!

CSI: NY is decent. It's watchable at least.

CSI: Miami isn't terrible, but like others, I can't stand David Caruso.

They did that in the episode I watched last night for CSI: NY - they walked into dead guy's hotel room, and don't even bother to look for the lightswitch. Sooooo dramatic!!

Can't watch any of them but the original. NY is better than Miami but I still don't like it. I don't watch ANYTHING David Caruso is in.

Looks like no one cares much for Caruso - why did he come back to TV again? Are the producers of CSI listening???

CSI (the original) and then Miami.

I hate the NY version, probably because I lived in NYC most of my life, and it doesn't feel 'authentic' to me like L&O:Parts I, II and III. I also just don't feel any chemistry between the actors. And the theme song makes no sense.

I don't know Las Vegas or Miami, but, they make both areas look so darn good when they are out in the field, it is sort of like a travelogue.

I agree that David Caruso is so bad it's funny, but, I love the other actors, the woman who plays Calleigh, particularly, and the show is absolutely gorgeous in HD. I also love all the tech stuff, like the 'Minority Report' touch screens.

It's kind of hard to say. Part of it is that the team seems to spend way more time chasing people than they do in the lab. It's a small team - lots of stuff to analyze - it is NY after all That and stuff seems to get done really fast. NY is notorious for long, drawn out investigations.

I wonder, do people who live in Miami or Las Vegas have their own quibbles about those as well (?)
