They tried to copy MXC? Never happen!
I loved that show. Best commentary ever.

Right you are Kenny!

Man vs Wild (once in awhile)
Survivorman (once in awhile)
Extreme Makeover Home Edition (rarely anymore... the homes began to look ridiculous)
Dirty Jobs (probably the one I watch with some regularity)

Amazing Race (fave show period)
Survivor (more out of habit since I've watched it since season 1)
AI (wasn't going to watch it this season but my HUBBY lol was the one that wanted to watch it. he loves the auditions)
Deadliest Catch (one of our faves)
So You Think You Can Dance
Hell's Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares
America's Got Talent

And sad to admit we watched Scream Queens (interesting though) and currently watching Tool Academy... don't ask us why we did LOL.. we don't know.

And watched 2 seasons of Coyote Ugly contest and last seasons design show w/Heidi Klum... not shows we watch regularly

We record Survivorman though haven't watched any yet

We've never watched an episode of The Bachelor or any others out there.. just the ones listed above.

The only reality show I have ever watched was " Castaway" a BBC1 programme where they took a very varied group of people of all ages and from all backgrounds and put them on a Scottish remote Island for a year.

It was basically an exercise in social anthropology and it was quite enjoyable.
The people varied in age from kids ( small ones) to a guy in his late 60s.

They basically had to build a community, learn how to deal with farm animals including ( from good husbandry to slaughtering them) and because they were not selected purely because they looked good , or because they were young it actually was more of a social engineering exercise.

Apart from that I can only say I have never watched any Reality TV shows, the very idea makes my blood curdle. I have no interest in watching people's tedious lives develop in front of my eyes , it sounds to me about as appealing as watching grass grow... Society has become a passive, voyeuristic one where we take pleasure in seeing other people uncomfortable, miserable or humiliated and I prefer to get my kicks another way. Reality TV is to me the worst of the worst. It makes me want to scream and throw something.

I genuinely fail to see the appeal of "big brother" and such rubbish. In fact its success baffles me.

The reality shows I hate are the ones with staged competitions like Suvivor, Big brother, Bachelor, etc etc. I also hate the shows where they just follow people around during their day to day mundane activities like Real Housewives, Jon and Kate plus 8, etc.

I do like true reality shows like the shows you find on Discovery, National Geographic, etc. Where you actually learn something.

Aside from the HGTV stuff etc., I'm unabashedly hooked on Parking Wars. It's absolutely educational, with only one very important lesson: Never park your car on the streets of Philadelphia.

Watching it also reinforces our decision to live outside of Philadelphia.

Oh, and I'm a closet SuperNanny viewer as well. Jo rocks!
