MADtv has gone down hill ever since they lost Michael McDonald and Will Sasso.

I don't like reality shows, except for Top Chef (the food was interesting) and Dancing with the Stars (I thought I must be mad for watching it, but it is kinda fun and relaxing to chill with).
I don't like most sitcoms except maybe re-runs of some better ones times gone back. Still Standing had some funny writers/lines. And, the 60's and 70's sitcoms were pretty good.
Boston Legal was stale, but I liked it originally. And, remember Allie McBeal? How about Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman?? Now, that was a funny spoof show.

It was on the news about a month ago. For the ratings DVR is the same as if we are watching it, even if we record it and delete it without watching it.

I suppose all shows end sometime but that doesn't explain some of the early demise's which seem like bad judgement.
And what are replacing all these favorites? Jay Leno? Its not that I don't think Jay does a decent job but why move him up to prime time? Because its cheap? Like reality shows are cheap? The only reality show I have ever watched is Survivor.
I love watching TV but there's hardly anything on to watch despite paying a huge cable bill and having a gazillion channels.
And it never seems to me that "anyone" is asking for or cares about what I watch or think despite being a huge TV viewer for years.

Add to the list; Rescue Me right? After 5? seasons

Remake Of "Fear Factor" In The Works I'm producing a reality show that I hope will be picked up for the 2009-2010 season. Because the television networks have been cutting costs, I'm putting my detective show on hold. All the networks have passed on my crime show about an alcoholic bipolar homicide detective and his sexy young female partner who work the streets of South Central L.A. looking for murdered tourists. Even filming in Vancouver would be too expensive, so even though CBS likes the pilot script, it's just too expensive to film, especially if I get my first choice, Christian Slater, who commands a high salary. ABC was initially interested. They wanted Pauly Shore for the lead, but he wanted too much money and his own trailer, so they passed. It's all about the budget, so that's why I'm switching to reality shows. I'm pitching my new show, called "Dumb Factor," a remake of "Fear Factor," which ran on NBC from 2001-2006. For $5,000, contestants will bungee-jump off a freeway overpass with an extremely frayed rope. The cars will run over the contestants until someone is stupid enough to get out and help, also getting splattered onto the pavement in slow-motion. This scenario will keep repeating until the commercial break. All that we'll see after the commercial will be a bunch of dead bodies and a massive pile-up of Camrys. The winners will now compete for the second stunt, jumping out of an airplane with a placebo parachute, after which an internet poll will be taken for the viewer to guess the winner. For those wanting to be a contestant, sign-ups will be on our website at stupididiot.com . This show will be perfect for ABC's schedule, because they're in the process of cancelling all scripted shows. Paul Solomon

Flip this House is still on A&E. That is the show that had South Carolina episodes but no longer does. Last I knew they were still doing shows in LA, San Antonio, Atlanta, and New Haven. New Haven is a definite; there will be a new one on June 6.

I really have always loved KOTH. Maybe I am a little biased being from Texas, but I thought the show was smart, funny, and relatable. I loved Bobby and John Redcorn. I hope the rumors are true and another network picks it up. Something I always found interesting was that it was a Mike Judge show, the guy who created Beavis & Butthead. He was the Seth McFarlane (parents nightmare) of the 90s.
