I am not mentioning the cartoon on purpose for legal reasons. When my children were young I worked every Saturday while they watched cartoons with my husband. I was home one Saturday and my daughter came to the kitchen and pulled me into the livingroom to see their favorite cartoon.
I should set the stage for you here. I also taught a Sunday school class for teens and had been educated as to devil worshipping symbols to watch out for to keep the teens safe from going in that direction.
Right there on the TV screen in the cartoon my child was watching were devil worshipping symbols in the design of the drapes and scattered in other objects throughout the cartoon. I cannot tell you how that made me feel. Just be careful what your child watches because it does matter.
Get with program, devil worshipping is soooo 1980's. What's in now days is to pevert our innocent children with characters who live alternative lifestyles like spongebob and princess Bubblegum.
Not really, we just don't do TV. It's more so Ipad apps or OnDemand type shows (i.e. Thomas and Friends-ughh! and or TMNNT/Thundercats) So don't know what's out there besides that.
My point to them is that this does not reflect their personal lives and choices nor of what we believe as a family. They are too old for me to ban them from these shows, but I do point it out regularly that the only spiritual/supernatural viewpoint is always associated with some form of witchcraft and rarely if ever from a Christian/Judeo viewpoint.
.
That's true for adult shows, too.
