Zahn plays Clark Edwards, an expert in human behavior with more than a few behavioral tics of his own. He’s a bipolar academic who refuses to take his medication, which leads to outrageous bursts of joy and anger that make it tough to run a quasi-detective agency with his con-artist brother (Christian Slater).
The fast-paced, often frantic dialogue is smarter and funnier than what you’re used to seeing on a prime-time series. Creator Kyle Killen is clearly more interested in the characters than diving into the procedural of the week.
“I was baffled that a network wanted to do this,” Zahn said. “I was convinced there was no way the show was going to be picked up. I had heard nightmares from other actors about how executives can create barriers you can’t get out of. That didn’t happen with this. This was really open and free.” Steve Zahn plays 'Mind Games' in new ABC series | Star Tribune
Huh, sounds kind of like a cross between "Numb3rs" and "Lie to Me".
Steve Zahn is talented, and I used to have a crush on Christian Slater, so I hope this turns out to be a good show...
but I have no idea as to whether it actually will be-and even if it is good, quality doesn't always lead to high ratings.
Someone who has seen it will hopefully come back and tell us here how it was-once the pilot episode airs, tomorrow night.
I just finished watching the first 3 episodes. I had to DVR them because they conflicted with some of my other shows, and did not have a chance to watch them until last night.
I was all set to not like it, because - even though I do enjoy Christian Slater - his other shows did not do well. And I almost deleted them from my DVR without watching them. I am SO glad I didn't delete them!
It is a little like Lie To Me, in that they are messing around in peoples brains, but that's where the similarities end.
Steve Zahn is wonderful as the bi-polar genius, and Slater plays his ethics-challenged brother. They have a crew that works with them, but the standout performances belong to Slater and Zahn.
I ended up watching all 3 episodes back to back. My opinion =
I kind of wanted to see it but I have way too many things to watch right now. That said, it doesnt look like it is going to make it much longer based on the ratings.

I told you Christian slater is the kiss of death for tv shows ...
