Since I love music and also have many fond memories of visits and gigs in New Orleans, I was greatly looking forward to HBO's new series, "Treme" which chronicles various storylines in that specific area (pronounced "Treh-MAY") of post-Katrina N.O. I have not been disappointed after three episodes, and in fact think it might become one of the ost addictive series ever. Do any of you guys watch it? Whatcha think about it?

I'm not sure how I feel about it. I'm from New Orleans, the actors except John Goodman are kinda stale. The music is great, but it's early in the season so I'm hoping it gets better.

I didn't think I would like it but I now I look forward to it each Sunday. I visited New Orleans a year before Katrina and I was glued to the TV with tears in my eyes watching what was taking place there during the hurricane. It's a terrrible thing that our nation lets a national treasure and it's people down when such an event happens. I thought it would be too sad to watch but it's just the opposite.

I thought it would be sad to watch as well, Mortisha. I'm gonna keep watching hopefully the rest of the cast will improve.

It took me 3 episodes in, but now I like it. Keep wishing Steve Zahn's character would get smacked around though.

I'm kinda like you - been to seven or eight Mardi Gras (the last one nearly killed me) plus visited every year or two most of my adult life, with many of those visits marking special events.

Trying to get into it...
