I agreed with Piers that Prince Poppycock made a mistake in going for a serious act tonight when his strength is in his lightheartedness. I thought Jackie picked a great song although I would have preferred the Schubert version. Fighting Gravity was more entertaining for me in the beginning. Now that the novelty has worn off it isn't quite there for me. My favorite remains Michael Grimm - there are several songs I would love to hear him sing (for ex. Dock of the Bay).

I didn't like Michael tonight, seemed like that was a bad song for him to sing. He didn't seem to have any feeling in it, and didn't seem to emphasize the high points of the song.

Jackie was great-- but will she be able to hold down a vegas show once the sky opens up and she ascends to heaven?

Fighting gravity was cool-- except I saw one of the guys dressed in black at the very end (an error like pierce pointed out).

Overall-- if I had to pay money for any show in Vegas, I'd like to see Fighting Gravity.

Poppycock fell flat-- his performance was boring this time.

I almost thought Piers criticized Poppycock to annoy Sharon, but that's not true. Poppy should have stuck to 'schtick'. There are too many fabulous singers of that aria and the entire production was not as captivating. I think his performance the week before was supposed to be the finale, but he was unsure of getting through the semi finals.
Grimm is my favorite voice. I would buy his cds and go to performances. I love his more serious attitude, too. He reminds me of some guys I went to school with. I hope he really gets popular with this exposure.
Poppycock is Vegas-flashy and he's fun and I think he's a great act for them, but Michael has additional appeal to the older Vegas crowd who are used to the crooners, but he is younger and cute.

This is the first time I voted and it was for Grimm.

I think that Poppycock blew it tonight. He does much better with light-hearted fare. I still think he is an exceptional performer and I can really see him in Vegas.

Grimm was good and he always has been.

Jackie's performance was not as good as some of her others have been, IMO, but that child can really belt them out. Her range is amazing.

Fighting Gravity was good, too, but that genre does not appeal to me.

It's going to be interesting tomorrow night. Too bad I'll miss it.

Survivor starts tomorrow.

The Las Vegas stint is a primarily one shot deal, not a long term contract, unless it goes over big time, so Jackie can do it and will attract a genre of people in a large hotel/casino/stage venue that like that type of singing. She's already got a date at Carnegie Hall.

Agree, Prince Poppycock blew it tonight. His previous performance should have been saved for the finals and he would probably be a shoo in for the winner. But Vegas is calling and he'll be a star there no matter what.

Michael Grimm is good, not great, and his future will be secured with contract deals since he has a very popular fan base.

Fighting Gravity, well it's getting stale for me and I would not pay to see them do this same thing for an hour. And yes they made several mistakes. The big one was the light scene and yes you could see the men in black several times, plus a few times their black arms came out and interferred with the white costumes.

I'll go out on a limb right now and say the winners will be:
#1- Jackie Evanco
#2 - Prince Poppycock
#3- Michael Grimm
#4-Fighting Gravity.

And don't forget starting next week the top 10 are going on tour in the America's Got Talent Winners Stage Show playing major venues around the country, and they get paid for it too.

Yes, "Gravity" sort of blew it last night, as did Prince Poppycock. Michael Grimm is excellent, but does sing the "oldie" songs which would most likely bring in the older crowd since people in the 20's and 30's aren't big fans of the old stuff. As far as Jackie goes, great Opera singer, but remember last season when that stunningly beautiful lady Opera singer lost to the "chicken catcher"?
Should be a highly interesting show today. Loved the Finale of American Idol last season......all Classic Rock singers and groups. When Alice Cooper came out on stage, I looked at my wife and said "let's rock and roll".

They are all wonderful! My favorite all along was PP, but I totally agree with you all and Piers last night. I love Michael, he reminded me of Joe Cocker! Jackie is amazing as is Gravity. I don't know who to vote for ! Michael, I think it's you...Jackie your talent has many, many years to go and I'd hate to see you as a Vegas show. Gravity will get to Vegas anyway.

I really didn't think it was necessary for Piers to Buzz PP though. I thought he was fantastic, but I agree it was the wrong choice for the finals. Just thought it was rude to buzz him during this stage of the show.

What a show! I'll save my comments until the west coast sees the show. All I will say is David Copperfield amazes me.
