Off the top my short list in no special order:

Twilight Zone
Waltons
Gunsmoke
Star Trek (orig and Next Gen only)
Little House
Bonanza
Baa Baa Black Sheep

I was going to say "fav non-sitcom" but there are/were so many detective shows.......and IMO most detective (and "medical") shows, esp nowdays, are incredibly unoriginal, melodramatic poop. And good luck trying to get a family dramatic series off the ground now.

In no particular order:

The Twilight Zone- watch the marathon every new year's eve. Game of Pool is my all time favorite

One Step Beyond- a wannabe but still good

The Outer Limits- same as above

Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea- grew up on the reruns. One of my all time faves

Lost in Space- let's face it. From sci-fi shows to disaster movies, Irwin Allen was a genius. imagine what he could have done with today's movie technology

L.A. Law- didn't get into drama till my 20s but this was the best I ever saw. And as a bonus Laury Partridge all grown up. Had a crush as a kid

Homefront- only lasted 2 years but was damn good TV. Class and race relations and the beginnings of the union in small town Ohio post WWII

The Nightmare Cafe- shortlived but how can you not look at something with Robert Englund in a starring role?

X-Files--do you count that as a detective show?

Nowhere Man

Pre-graduation, A-Team and Knight Rider, also, the Six Million Dollar Man and Incredible Hulk (live action, not cartoon).
