I think they went a bit too far with Betty White on the raunchiness..I saw Carol Burnett's one-woman show last year and she really was not blue and in fact I don't remember her using foul language at all...
I would love to see her on there but please curtail the potty humor from EVERY sketch...

It did seem a bit overdone, just like the Southpark movie in which they basked in the ability to say pretty much anything they wanted....just because you can doesn't mean you should. Not everything needed to be about sex, it's like a bunch of 12 year old boys showing off if taken too far.
I agree; a little restraint goes a long way. Whatever happened to that old showbiz adage: always leave them wanting more?
Agree - plus it requires one to be much more clever if you can't just spurt out anything that comes to mind. Hey....maybe THAT's why things just aren't as funny any more (incl SNL)....
Carol Burnett's show was above all "wholesome" and while I'm not saying she's above being a little "bawdy," seeing her do SNL "potty humour" sounds like a train wreck waiting to happen. Pass.
I have to agree 100% after giving it some thought. Would be better if she hosted and brought in her own writers.

Or better yet, mentored the SNL writers.
