Not only will it go from Dallas to Tyler & through East Texas, but also all the way to Shreveport in the current plans.

Tyler is more progressive than people give it credit for, especially from a certain few individuals on this forum.

I concur!

Ain't it something we already have the ball rolling on this even before a line to D/FW breaks ground?

Progressive??? That plan is so backwards.[Literally]

There is no rail within the city of Tyler. This is never going to work. Try again.

That's all fine but I just wish it would go from Shreveport to Arlington.

There wasn't any rail in Austin either up until a couple of years ago & even longer after Dallas & Houston had theirs.

What....what does that have to do anything????

I never Tyler was backwards; I said the plan was backwards as in it makes no sense to build commuter rail without having a reliable rail system functioning within the city.

Nothing jealous about little town Tyler here. There is nothing in Tyler for anyone to be jealous of. BTw, the fixing is all about Dallas. There are areas within Dallas that needs rail connection. Not to mention its suburbs. You just have a hard time accepting that this is a waste of money and a waste of time to build or even explore some sort of commuter line to a city 99 miles away at the moment.

Are you seriously trying to compare a city of 100k to a city of 800k, 1.2 million, and 2.1 million?
