Hello all,

My wife and I are looking for a 10+ acre lot with a home on it that is suitable for horses. We would like to be between Tyler and the forests to the south (Davy Crockett, Angelina...).

Where should we look? A clean, low crime, low cost of land/housnig, small town would be nice.

Thanks!
OD

My dad lives South of Tyler close to Lindale/Mineola and it's just beautiful out there to me I agree, find a realtor. It's recently wet around there as well, as far as alcohol sales go.

Lindale and Mineola are not south of Tyler. They're north by about 12 and 20 miles, respectively.

South of Tyler and between Tyler and the Davy Crockett National Forest would be Rusk, Jacksonville, Bullard, Alto and the like. Of those, I would probably choose Bullard then Jacksonville.
