I finish my MBA program in about 6 weeks. Had the opportunity to focus on school and child 7 years ago and accepted the opportunity. I went to a CC and earned an Associates, went to a local University and earned a Bachelors, spent 8 months in an MBA program. I volunteered with my son's school, scouts, and local non profits during this time (3 seasonal jobs as well).
And guess what I have found out---for the past 7 years I have done NOTHING!
I have been looking for full time work since December (not long I know) but I tallied my January applications/resumes (mostly through direct submission-no 3rd party like CareerBuilder, etc) at 1,406 for that month alone. 109 rejection emails and the rest can't even be bothered to do that.
Hard to keep up the search with results like these.
I think my resume says I have the plague in some hidden alien language known only to computer filters...lol
I am right there, although only with a bachelors, I have ten years of operational managment, and several high end jobs/references.... what to do? Live on the street? Jeez.
