Nj Unemployment Question about When to Claim with only 1 week left (extension, reapply)

Hello all. Here is my question. Last week I put in my claim, and after doing so it dropped my remaining balance down to just the amount for 1 week. Being that I only have 1 weeks worth of balance left, do I claim today for the one week or do I wait till next Sunday? Will that second week become the start of an extension if I wait to claim?

I cannot get anyone to answer a phone at any unemployment office.

Do I have to "do something" ie reapply for extended benefits? I am so confused. Have read everything I can find on the nj unemployment site but absolutely do not understand.

I am a Sandy victim also. Lost everything - then three weeks later, also lost my job. I MUST have unemployment to survive. Am totally freaked out. The balance says $600 - for one week.

Does it change to the extended benefits at some point? Is there a new application? Do I have to go into that dreaded Neptune NJ site?
