NOT to be a debbie downer. If you haven't transferred off state funds to tier 1 would you lose those (and tier 2 off that claim) in the future event in say 2016 federal extensions get approved?

Sounds cruel but what if fed euc gets approved but NOT retro to 12/28/13 but starts March 1 or at this point Nov 1. Strategically to reduce amount paid out would be significantly less for the govt if it's not retro and they aren't responsible for folks who fall through the cracks and haven't transferred and had fed euc tier 1 and 2 benefits "added" to someones claim. When I read about the thread about Tenn. folks no longer asked to continue claiming it was what popped into my head. Very Sorry to play devil's advocate, just wondering.

Default presently, not sure if anybody really knows...sorry

what Tennessee UE dept is doing right now is putting a wrench to all the states computer systems.

I really hope none of the other states follow this.

these bi weekly claims were "proof", that claimant's/ UE state depts had to show we were looking for work and was eligible for back / "retro" payments

***hang in there

Depends on how new legislation is written. All we can go on is precedent. In the past, any unexhausted tiers and eligibility for tiers remained.

TN is more of an anomaly than the norm in that it allowed claiming as long as it did. MOST states long ago cut off claiming. Some never allowed any claiming after 12/28 - CA, with the largest number of claimants in the country, being one.
