Ok so....I was let go in December 2012...In Florida...and when I applied for UC...they said because i worked in NY and PA...i would have to apply there...so I ended up getting UC in PA...when that ended June/July 2013...i thought i would get... EUC...they said no you are eligible for UC...in NY...so I got that...that just ended...January 2014...Okay...so that whole time...I kept filing in hopes of EUC being extended...as you know that hasn't happened...but the other night I thought to myself...I wonder if I was able to apply for new claim in Florida...still since that's were i was laid off...and i never had claim with them...the only problem...i called...and my 15 weeks...from January 2014 if I was awarded a backdated claim...would only take me back...to the last quarter and 2012...and in order to be edible...i would need to work in 2 quarters...and make 1.5 the amount...and i only worked one small 400 job in 2013...so that's not 1.5 the amount...so my question is...IS IT POSSIBLE TO BE BACKDATED...to the initial claim...of DECEMBER 2012...when i was laid off...or is that impossible...is that too far back to be backdated...they said...if my earning in Florida weren't used yet...maybe i would be awarded a backdated...appeal...but the issue is...even if it's backdated to this January...I'm not eligible...for UC...unless it was backdated to December 2012...but that seems unlikely...but is that possible does that ever happen...also i guess too cuz their was no EUC...extension...that's impossible to...from 2013???? thanks

Lost job 12/12

PA - until 7/13 - so I ended up getting UC in PA...

when that ended June/July 2013...i thought i would get... EUC...they said no you are eligible for UC...in

NY. - July 2013-January 2014

so my question is...IS IT POSSIBLE TO BE BACKDATED...to the initial claim...of DECEMBER 2012...when i was laid off...

EUC ended 12/28/2013. Your NY claim, being your last claim, probably was eligible for EUC had Congress extended. PA claim was NEVER eligible b/c you immediately qualified for a claim in NY. It is against EUC regs to for a state to pay EUC if claimant is eligible for a new state claim - which you were in PA.

You didn't have enough FL earnings in your base period which is why you were told to apply in NY and PA. Consider yourself very fortunate. NY and PA both paid you far more and for a longer period than FL ever would have - total of 52 weeks. FL benefit is pretty bad, low $$ and number weeks reduced by employment rate.

At this point, any standard base-period would be April 2013-March 2014. If Fl agreed to backdate at this time (which it won't), normally the states only go back a quarter, which brings the base period to January 2013-December 2013, again excluding the 12/12 quarter.

You can try, of course. Don't hold your breath. Never heard of this happening at this late date, actually.
