I filed for unemployment almost 3 weeks ago. I recently got laid off my recent job due to reduction in workforce. That job was in 2 of the calendar quarters. The job before that I only worked for I believe a little less than two months and quit due to simply not liking the job. Now even though I quit the first job and was laid off the second am I eligible to receive unemployment?
I have been at my “full time” job for almost 15yrs & picked up a part time job almost 6 months ago, 2 days a week for a total of 10hrs a week. Unfortunately I was working almost 70+hrs some weeks. My full time is not a set schedule it fluctuates, meaning one day I’ll work at 4am the next day I’ll work 4pm. My part time employer wanted me to work basically when called. Could not work due to already working at my full time job. So I went down to 1 day a week for a total of 5hrs a week. Then out of the blue he called and said, I’m putting you on call. Which was at the end of January beginning of February. I was shocked! Never have I been fired or let go.
Anyways..
due to the pandemic I was laid off since there was a shelter-in place order. I cannot work from home. Now UI has been pending/fact finding with the name of the part time job with it. Which I find crazy since the hrs they are going off of, I only worked 44hrs part time job & 2200hrs full time.
Really hoping it goes through!! It’s been 3 weeks & no response
