Hi all, so I’m part of a local union who gets his calls in from a hall and this is the first time I’ve ever filed for unemployment. I filed for unemployment and the date was March 8 of this year, I input all of my different companies I’ve worked for throughout the year and everything was accurate, I qualify and I literally get 4 weeks of unemployment and think everything is good. Yesterday I get this letter I uploaded about a questionnaire I was supposed to fill out, and an interview letter stating someone was supposed to call me the 15th, no one ever did. First letter is the questionnaire and dated April 6, and I have to turn it in the 15th, and the interview letter is dated the 9th and states someone will contact me April 15th, again no one ever did, I just received these letters yesterday April 18th and I spoke to my rep and he basically told me to fill them out, gather all evidence of when the letters actually came and to fac and mail them into ides regardless. My question to you guys is this, will my benefits expire because of this? The letter states that if I miss my interview I will be denied. I am freaking out and a nervous mess right now

Your rep was correct. Include a copy of the outside of the envelope showing the postmark date. At the very least, you have the grounds and rights to an appeal.

It sounds like you have unreported earnings in your claim period, what work have you performed since 3/5/20?

have you received any severance pay, holiday pay or deferral pay?

Unfortunately there were no dates on the envelopes but I do have informed delivery through Usps. No March 5th was my last official day of any work. Haven’t worked a day since

There are absolutely dates on the outside of the envelope if it was sent via USPS. Make copies of the front and back - there will either be a postmark date or a barcode that contains this. Pair that with the informed delivery notification/email.

I think I see the issue here though. If you filed March 8th, that reverted to the week ending 3/7. Did you report earnings for the 2nd/3rd/4th/5th when you filed?

I worked one day for stated company of psav on March 5th. I went through all dates this year on the ides website for all the different companies I’ve worked for and psav just happened to be the last company I worked for before it all shut down

Copy that. Thank you. Yes I did send a scan of them. Should I call ides Monday? Or wait until I certify?
