So... Im curious...
I wasnt sure where to put this thread... but since it has to do with PUA, I figured here was as good as anywhere else.
My ex SIL detailed cars - had his own company. During Covid he closed his business (well thats what he is telling the Child support office is the reason he is behind almost $4K in Child support) - all the other car detailers were open, however.
So - he has filed for PUA - due to him being self employed. Im just curious if he would be eligible, since it was his choice to not work?
A fault of PUA is self certification, aka "Fraudsters Welcome, Come On In!"
Crud... thats what I was afraid of.
I know his UI will be taken to pay my daughter the arrears child support... but it just bugs me that he can do that. (Hes a POS anyway)

Thank you Rabrrita
and the FPUC $600 payment should be taken as well. From FPUC guidelines
5. Child support. Child support obligations must be deducted from FPUC payments in the
same manner and to the same extent as these obligations are deducted from regular UC.

2nding this. In another Forum (where General/Basic UI knowledge appears to be more "needed" than on C-D), read that someone had Spouse apply for PUA with no recent Work History, just for Looking for a Job (no Offer) because User has possibly been exposed to Covid. Additionally, some Users have told Others, inquiring about own concerns of Job Quits, to not worry because he/she Quit Job & got approved (Quote: "UI changed the requirements because of the virus, so a majority of people who voluntary quit in 2019 got accepted.")
Starting to see Threads, also @ other Forum, where Users are indicating receiving Notices of (PUA) Overpayment & Wanting to Appeal Penalty (didn't understand not Eligible, why did State send Money if not Eligible, already spent the Money, Blah, Blah, Blah).
