Sorry if this is a dumb question... I live in PA and worked in NJ. As of today I am 24 weeks into the first 26 weeks of original benefits. I have some interviews and hoping to land a position soon but wanted to know if I needed to do anything once my 26 weeks expires. I read that the 13 week extension is automatic but not sure if that applies in my case as an out of state resident. Reading here it looks like NJ has been interesting to say the least. Thanks in advance.

It should be automatic. The issues with out of state residents was regarding EB extended benefits. do you exhaust your regular UI benefits with week ending 3/6 or earlier? You have to be an active PEUC claimant when claiming week ending 3/13. If you exhaust regular UI with week ending 3/13, under current law you will get NO weeks of PEUC. Under CAA law signed on 12/27 PEUC would end on 3/13 UNLESS a person is an active PEUC claimant when they claim 3/13 and if they are they will be allowed to continue on the transition phaseout period through 4/10. Absolute last week payable for PEUC under current law is wk ending 4/10.
