The Zeitoun Church (light)

Some of you may or may not have heard of this, but I find it to be very very interesting. At the Zeitoun church in Cairo in 1968 or so, and over a period of a few years, an apparition of The Virgin Mary appeared over the church for thousands of people to see.

I am a very scientific person by nature and I dont believe a lot of things until there is some evidence. I find this case particularity fascinating because there is actual photographic evidence of the apparition, and so many people witnessed it. Within the photographs you can tell whatever the entity is, the light it's giving off is actually reflected on the surrounding environment, proving its not a photo-manipulation. Pretty crazy!

Photoshop. The supposed reflected light wouldn't be on the other side of the dome.

I was eleven years old when this occurred. I remember hearing about it. I can honestly say that the image in question was not Photoshopped since computers were still in their infancy and photo manipulating software hadn't been created yet. I'm not saying they couldn't edit negetives, just saying the image appeared as shown back when the incident happened. If you do an image search using the search term "Our Lady of Zeitoun" you'll see several different images. As time went on the apparition became more defined and clear. I'm not saying this was real or fake. Just giving some insight to what I remember seeing on the news at that time.

Exactly, it was before photoshop etc... plus there were just so many witnesses from many different countries who saw whatever it was. And I can say from a photography and film background that whatever was in those photos WAS indeed giving off real light. You can tell by the way the frame is exposed (in the over-exposed) areas that real light struck this film.

I almost wonder if this was a CIA experiment using some sort of technological trickery to study the effects of propaganda on the middle east.
