Not sure whether this is political, but Waco, Oklahoma City, Columbine, Virginia Tech, and the Boston Marathon bombing all happened within five days of each other. Do you think this is coincidental or is there something weird that happens at this time of year?

Mods: Can you move this into the correct forum? Sorry about that!

I think it has to do with Patriots Day (the anniversary of the start of the American Revolution, which is April 19, and is observed as a holiday in Massachusetts on the 3rd Monday in April), and also possibly due to tax day (April 15, or next Monday if it falls on a weekend).

Waco: April 19, 1993

Oklahoma City: April 19, 1995

Columbine: Was planned for April 19, 1999, but took place April 20, 1999

Virginia Tech: Monday, April 16, 2007 (it was Patriots Day since it was the 3rd Monday, and tax day, since April 15 was a Sunday)

Boston Marathon: Monday, April 15, 2013 (it was Patriots Day, since it was the 3rd Monday, and tax day)

The OKC bombing happened on the 2 year mark of Waco because McVeigh planned it that way. It was his revenge.

Those are all possibilities, but more likely it's the April 15th deadline for filing taxes. Even if you get a refund, seeing how much of your money is going to the government is enough to provoke some violent tendencies in people.

After having due thought to it, I say it's happenstance, no rhyme or reason, s***, just happens. I feel pretty comfortable in saing there were other dates in history when it seem like "good or bad" events were taking place that had some time, date, month, etc., closley in common to each other.
