Ok, this story has legs too it. Multiple media site arereporting the same thing, live streaming from NASA to document the historiclanding, and some say it’s more about discovering of the signal than actuallylanding on a moving object.
This is coming a from a comet, a moving object. Supposedly for20 years. NASA knows the signals we used to send out, we would’ve identifiedthe signal if it was one of our own. Like the article said, if this isintelligent life, what a smart concept placing a tower on a comet that orbitsour solar system to send signals to initiate contact.
All I can say I hope there is intelligent life out there. It scares the bejesus out of me to think humans might be the most intelligent species in the universe.
I suspect this is the so-called mystery signal. There's no mystery about it. The sound has to do with magnetic oscillations detected by the Rosetta spacecraft mapping the surface of the comet. The oscillations have been sped up about 10 thousand times to make it audible for human hearing.

I think, but might be wrong, that it was Aurthur C. Clarke who said something like "There are only two options.... either we are alone or we are not.... and I find both of these equally terrifying".
