I know in traditional folklore fairies typically wear green clothing, while in modern fiction they are more often depicted as wearing pink or purple. I was wondering, what color do you think best represents fairies?

I think this particular shade of pink is the perfect representation of fairies:

Totally depends on the type of fairy. Not even joking about this.

I think of green generally.

But kind of funny... (bear with me) I have this flowery wallpaper in my bathroom. The repeating pattern is a big blue crysanthenum, and big blue crysanthenum, and a bit of vine with a bluebell.

The flowers always remind me of fairies, so I can totally picture blue and pink fairies. lol

Quite. The Faerie world includes a LOT of different beings. Elves, Dwarves, Pixies, etc. All with very distinctive things, including colors, to go with them. And not all Faerie beings are even close to being benevolent. Black goes well with quite a few. +1 Old Gaurd

They are mostly translucent. Fairy Trail | Official Site for Lily Dale Assembly - having visited the "Fairy Trails" of Lily Dale, and hearing the reports of those who have seen them.

At least the ones in Lily Dale NY are. Some people reported "green", but that is probably owing to the fact that the Fairy Trails in Lily Dale are verdant green, and most observers have seen them in the forest.

As another reported, Fae Folk are not limited to Fairies. There are elves, gnomes, nymphs and others.

I also do not associate any color with fairies or Fae Folk. I think you are more interested in the color pink, that in Fairies, judging from your screen name and numerous posts about this color.

This. There are different species of the fae. Trolls, Leprechauns, brownies et cetera.

I actually have a dark Fairy in my house.. For the most part, she's been harmless...to me anyway, lol
