Actually, I think he could make some friends by doing this. However, he only has to make one enemy of the wrong kind to end up like JFK. We will see what comes out of this as it is not something obvious you can be sure.

I think it's about time we have an official branch in space. Satellites are necessary in the modern world, and protecting them should be first priority. If the GPS satellites are knocked out by an enemy, commerce in the US would halt. Also, the military has the money and technologies to do great things in space. This, hopefully, will inspire a new generation of engineers and scientists and firmly establish American dominance in space, the greatest frontier.
What about the Star Trek theme? I guess we would need lyrics for it, something about Captain Kirk meeting and bedding green alien chicks.
"In the Navy"...wait a second, is that the old 70's Village People gay anthem song? That is most definetly NOT the theme song. Try "Anchors Aweigh". See I just saved your life if you had mentioned that in some Navy Bar to a bunch of burly sailors as there theme song.

You mean this isn't the official song of the Navy? It's a much catchier song than "Anchors Aweigh."
Beyond
The rim of the star-light
My love
Is wand'ring in star-flight
I know
He'll find in star-clustered reaches
Love,
Strange love a star woman teaches.
I know
His journey ends never
His star trek
Will go on forever.
But tell him
While he wanders his starry sea
Remember, remember me.
