Nostradamus - the end of days series 1 (aliens)

This is a disaster-fest series showing how Nostradamus' prophesies predicted the earthquakes and Earth changes which are supposed to be coming on or around May 10th in some year unspecified. They get experts of Nostradamus and experts on disaster planning to talk about things and show lots of disaster clips of real tsunamis and earthquakes - you know the usual stuff.

This is just another way to make people frightened and fearful (like they are doing with UFOs and aliens) and they in fact mention that Russia and China will take advantage of the huge country-wide devastation of the USA and will invade and shoot nuclear warheads at the US. All these boogie-men together.

I have a few problems with all this mainly because warfare has far surpassed nuclear warheads now and moved onto plasma, EMPs and directed energy explosions which are far more, multiple times more, destructive. Nuclear is old hat.

As they said, the earth will turn to liquid and whole cities, the size of Los Angeles, will disappear into the liquid land and then when the shaking stops, the land will solidify 'drowning' all the folks who have disappeared under the surface. Not a nice way to go.

The other problem I have is that any Earth changes, earthquakes and tsunamis will upset and destroy all of the nuclear power stations which will begin to spew all the radiation into the atmosphere. This will kill people more painfully than the water and will spread far further than the Earth changes. It will also go on for a lot longer, but nothing was said about nuclear accidents in the episode. I suppose they dont want people to start questioning the nuclear power plants of which many are over 50 years old now.
